If steelwork primed with Epidac 2Z, is stored for a long period in wet or humid conditions, the surface will be contaminated with white zinc salts. Before overcoating these should be removed by thoroughly scrubbing with dilute detergent water followed by a clean water rinse. Allow surface to dry completely before painting.
