Two-pack epoxy, with micaceous iron oxide pigmentation

High build epoxy MIO for use on steel and galvanised surfaces.

Fully compliant to Environmental Protection Act (1990) as required by Guidance Note PG 6/23 (97), Clause 20 (d), when used unthinned as a tie coat, sealer or as a 'one-coat' finish.

Theoretical Coverage: 6.7m² per litre at 75 microns
Drying Time At 20°C:
Touch Dry: 40 minutes
Film Dry: 4 hours
Overcoat: Overnight (4 hours with self)
Full Cure: 7-10 days
(will vary with temperature, air movements, etc.)
Note: Ambient temperature during application/curing should be not less than 10°C to ensure optimum curing charcteristics.
VOC: 410 grm/ltr
Packaging: 5 litre composite packs
Shelf Life: 2 years or longer in unopened containers when stored under cover in good storage conditions.
Storage: Under cover with temperature range of 5°C to 32°C.
Surface Preparation: Steel: Normally applied over grit-blasted steel primer with one of the Dacrylate Epidac 2 primers.
New Galvanised Steel: Apply direct to clean, degreased galvanising (or to galvanising treated with 'T' Wash.
Application: Thoroughly mix base component. Add activator and continue stirring until completely homogenous.
Apply at an approximate wet film thickness of 150 microns to achieve a dry film thickness of 75 microns.
Airless spray: Tip size 15-17 thou (0.38-0.43mm), tip pressure minimum 2000 psi (135 Bar).
Conventional Spray: May require up to 10% of Dacrylate Thinner R9 may be added to achieve optimum application characteristics.
Brush: Small areas and sections can be brushed. Use a full wet brush. Do not attempt to 'brush out' or 'lay off'.
Pot Life (at 20°C): 4 hours
Mixing Ratio by Volume: 4 parts base / 1 part activator
Clean-up: Dacrylate Thinner R9.
