Welding Certification

A blast primer or 'holding' primer for steel using reinforced PVB/zinc phosphate. This product has a 'safety' certificate from Newcastle Occupational Health Authority (ref. 6833/00) and 'Welding Certification' by Sandbery Laboratories.

Appearance Of Dried Film: Low sheen
Volume Solids: 10%
Dry Film Thickness: Typical 10 microns / Range 10-20 microns
Theoretical Coverage: 10m² per litre at 10 microns dry film thickness
Drying Time At 20°C:
Touch Dry: 5-10 minutes
Film Dry: 30 minutes
Overcoat: After 90 minutes
(will vary with temperature, air movements, etc.)
Packaging: 5 litre containers
Shelf Life: 6 months or longer in unopened containers when stored under cover in good storage conditions.
Storage: Under cover with temperature range of 5°C to 32°C.
Surface Preparation: Abrasive blast to ISO 8501-1 SA2.5 is the preferred method.
Smooth mild steel free of rust and millscale, can be degreased with Dacrylate Thinner R5.
Application: Apply by spray.Thin with up to 15% Dacrylate Thinner R11 to achieve optimum spray characteristics.
Clean-up: Dacrylate Thinner R11
