Two-pack epoxy

Hard, abrasion and chemical resistant coating for harsh environments, outstanding resistance to alkalis and mild acids, oils, and hydrocarbon oil/solvents.

Colours available: Limited colour range ex-stock. All British Standard and RAL colours are available on Dacmix tinting scheme, contact us for more information.
Appearance Of Dried Film: Gloss
Volume Solids: 55% (may vary with colour)
Dry Film Thickness: Typical 50 microns
Range 45-70 microns
Theoretical Coverage: 11m² per litre at 50 microns dry film thickness
Drying Time At 20°C: Touch Dry: 2 hours
Film Dry: 6 hours
Overcoat: Overnight but with 5 days, after 5 days, lightly abrade and solvent wipe.
Full Cure: 7 days
(will vary with temperature, air movements, etc.)
Packaging: 5 litre composite packs
Shelf Life: 2 years in unopened containers when stored under cover in good storage conditions.
Storage: Under cover with temperature range of 5°C to 32°C.
Surface Preparation: Normally applied over Dacrylate range of Epidac 2 primers and build coats.
Application: Conventional or airless spray. Up to 15% of Dacrylate Thinner R9 may be required to achieve optimum spray characteristics.
Brush: Apply with full, wet brush. Do not 'brush out' or 'lay off'.
Special Note: Epidac 2 coatings should not be applied or cured at temperatures below 10°C.
Pot Life: 8 hours
Note: After mixing, allow to stand for 15 minutes before use. Re-mix immediately prior to application.
Mixing Ratio by Volume: 2.5 base to 1 activtor
Clean-up: Dacrylate Thinner R9.
