Surface Preparation: Surface must be sound, clean and free from oil, grease or other contaminants.
Steel/Non-Ferrous Metal: Should be suitably pre-treated and/or primed.
Concrete, Plaster, Brickwork, etc: Remove all dirt, dust and friable material. On porous substrates, thin first coat of Epidac 2W with up to 15% of water.
Previously painted substrates, including pitch-based coatings: Ensure existing coating is clean, sound with good adhesion. If in doubt, apply small trial area and check adhesion, etc.
Application: Epidac 2W can be applied by brush, spray or roller. 5-10% of clean water may be added to achieve optimum application characteristics.
Special Note: All water-based coatings depend on air-movement and good ventilation to achieve stated drying/curing times. In confined spaces or areas with poor ventilation, air blowers or similar equipment should be used to ensure correct drying/curing. Temperature must be above 10°C.
Apply at a wet film thickness of approximately 100 microns to achieve a dry film thickness of 50 microns.
