A modified chlorinated rubber/alkyd/zinc phosphare typically used as a corrosion inhibitive primer for steel. Excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and aqueous chemicals.

Volume Solids: 41%
Dry Film Thickness: Typical 50 microns / Range 40-75 microns
Theoretical Coverage: 8.2m² per litre at 50 micron
Drying Time At 20°C:
Touch Dry: 40 minutes
Film Dry: 2 hours
Overcoat: 4 hours
(will vary with temperature, air movements, etc.)
Packaging: 5 litre containers
Shelf Life: 2 years or longer in unopened containers when stored under cover in good storage conditions.
Storage: Under cover with temperature range of 5°C to 32°C.
Surface Preparation: Preferred method is abrasive blast to ISO 8501-1 SA2.5.
To manually clean chip, scrape and power wirebrush to remove all loose millscale, rust and similar. Any previus coatings remaining must be sound with good adhesion. Feather all edges to achieve smooth profile. Degrease immediately prior to painting using Dacrylate Thinner T5.
Application: Airless spray: Use as supplied. Tip pressure 2,500psi minimum (170 bar). Tip size approximately 16 Thou (0.40mm).
Conventional spray: An addition of up to 15% Dacrylate Thinner R5 may be required.
Brush: Small areas and narrow sections may be brushed. Use a full wet brush, do not attempt to 'brush off' or 'lay off'.
Clean-up: Dacrylate Thinner R5.
