Silicone Aluminium Heat Resisting Finish 600°C

Silicone, aluminium coating type, typically used as a bright aluminium heat resistant finish for use up to 600°C.

Colours available: Aluminium only
Appearance Of Dried Film: Bright metallic sheen
Volume Solids: 20%
Dry Film Thickness: Typical 20 microns
Theoretical Coverage: 10.0m² per litre at 20 microns
Drying Time At 20°C: Touch Dry: 10 minutes
Film Dry: 1 hour
Overcoat: After 1 hour
(will vary with temperature, air movements, etc.)
Note: A heat cure at 250°C for about 1 hour is required to produce a heat resistant finish
Packaging: 5 litre containers
Shelf Life: 1 year in unopened containers when stored under cover in good storage conditions.
Storage: Under cover with temperature range of 5°C to 32°C. Remove lids with care due to possible pressure build-up in tin.
Surface Preparation: Abrasive blast to ISO 8501-1 SA2.5 is the preferred method.
Clean, mild steel, free of millscale or rust, should be thoroughly degreased with Dacrylate Thinner R5.
Application: Apply by conventional spray to a wet film thickness of approximately 100 microns to achieve a dry film thickness of 20 microns.
Clean-up: Dacrylate Thinner R5
