A modified alkyd fast drying gloss finish for general metal work. Rapid hardening with good adhesion.

Colours available: All British Standard and RAL colours are available on the Dacmix tinting scheme.

Dry Film Thickness: Typical 30 microns
Theoretical Coverage: 10.7m² per litre at 30 microns dry film thickness
Drying Time At 20°C: Touch Dry:15 minutes
Film Dry: 30 minutes

Packaging: 5 litre containers
Shelf Life: 2 years or longer in unopened containers when stored under cover in good storage conditions.
Storage: Under cover with temperature range of 5°C to 32°C.
Surface Preparation: Normally applied over suitably primed or degreaed steel.
Suitable primers for steel: Dacrylate 13, 35-Line, or 98-Lineprimers.
Suitable primers for non-ferrous metals: Two-pack Etch Primer, Single-pack Etch Primer.
Application: Apply by conventional spray. Up to 10% Dacrylate Thinner R5 may be required to achieve optimum spray characteristics.
Overcoating: Should a second coat of QD3 be required, this must be applied within 2 hours of the first coat to avoid lifting or wrinkling of the QD3.
After this 2 hour period, the QD3 will require at least 10 days curing before becoming resistant to solvents in the second coat.
Clean-up: Dacrylate Thinner R5.

Polychromatic colours such as RAL 9006 and RAL 9007 may be susceptible to slight variations in colour depending on application methods and the type of paint. In order to obtain the best colour and appearance, these colours are best spray applied.
