Dacrylate Acrylic Sealer for Masonry

Solvent-based acrylic coating typically used as a penetrating sealer for uncoated masonry substrates, prior to application of the Dacrylate Acrylic System for Masonry.

Colours Available: 'Clear' with 'tracer' of white pigment
Appearance of Dried Film: Low sheen
Theoretical Coverage: Varies considerably depending on porosity of substrate, but typically in the range of 4-10m² per litre
Drying Time At 20°C: Touch Dry: 20 minutes
Film Dry: 2 hours
Overcoat: 2 hours
(will vary with temperature, air movements, etc.)
Packaging: 5 litre containers
Shelf Life: 12 months in unopened containers when stored under cover in good storage conditions.
Storage: Under cover with temperature range of 5°C to 32°C.
Surface Preparation: New rendering: Ensure completely cured and dry, remove all dust, friable material, etc., to give a clean, dry sound substrate.
Old rendering where previously paint burnt-off: Thoroughly scrape and wire brush to remove all burnt paint, carbon deposits, etc., to leave clean, sound substrate.
Application: Stir well before use. Apply by brush, ensuring complete coverage and penetration into crevices, rough profiles, etc.
Clean-up: Dacrylate Thinner R8
