A moisture-cured clean polyurethane varnish, typically used as a tough, durable coating for wood and concrete floors. Also for funiture, bar tops, tables, etc. Completely unaffected by water, alcohol, etc.

Note: Dacpol V8 is normally used on interior surfaces. Exposure to sunlight produces yellowing of the film and a degree of chalking.

Note: A range of tinting packs is available to order to give a coloured finish, contact us for more information.
Volume Solids: 35%
Dry Film Thickness: Typical 30 microns
Application Rate: 3.8m² per litre
Note: Coverage will vary widely depending on the profile and porosity of the substrate
Drying Time At 20°C:
Touch Dry: 1 hour
Film Dry: 3 hours
Overcoat: Overnight (flat down lightly if left more than 3 days)
(will vary with temperature, air movements, etc.)
Packages: 500ml, 1 litre, 2.5 lire and 5 litre screw-topped containers
Shelf Life: 6 months in unopened containers.
Storage: Under cover with temperature range of 5°C to 35°C. Discard any part-full containers or containers showing evidence of swelling.
Surface Preparation: Concrete: Ensure concrete is clean, dry and free of surface laitence. Preferred surface preparation is a light sweep blast.
New concrete must be allowed to fully cure before coating (normally about 4-6 weeks depending on depth of concrete).
Wood: Ensure surface is clean and dry. For furniture, ie., tabletops, etc., sand-down in direction of the grain prior to coating.
Application: Concrete and wooden floors: Apply by brush or roller. Thin first coat with 25% Dacrylate Thinner R6. Apply one unthinned coat. (As a sealer to prevent 'dusting', one 'thinned' coat is normally sufficient.)
Furniture, joinery etc.: Apply by brush. Thin first coat 40% with Dacrylate Thinner R6. Sand down after overnight drying then apply one or two unthinned coats.
Coloured Finish using Tinting Packs: Add tinting pack to Dacpol V8 clear and mix thoroughly. Use immediately.
Clean-up: Dacrylate Thinner R6
