Surface Preparation: Ensure that surface to be coated is dry and free from oil, dust, road salts and other contaminations before application is commenced. Check compatibility with newly applied asphalt surfaces, synthetic all-weathered sports surfaces and thermoplastic line marking materials before over-coating this type of substrate. Do not apply at temperatures below 10°C or whete condensing conditions are expected.
Application: Stir base component thoroughly, add activator then continue to stir until homogeneous. Apply by airless or conventional spray, preferably by lining machine. Do not thin the coating as line definition and film build might be affected. If thinning is essential, a maximum of 5% Dacrylate Thinner R5 may be added.
Ballotini beads or calcined flint may be added to the wet film surface, immediately after application, if added reflectance or skid resistance is required. An application rate of 400g per m² is recommended.
Small areas can be applied by brush, using a well loaded brush but do not attempt to brush-out the coating.
Usable Pot-Life (at 20°C): 8 hours, do not attempt to thin back thickened product past this time
Overcoating: Should a second coat be required, this should be applied after a minimum drying time of 12 hours has elapsed.
