2-Pack Acrylic High Build Sheen Finish
Ref.: 83-Line

Location : Lord's Cricket Ground, London

The Problem

Lord's Cricket Ground in London required a coating for their new, patented telescopic masts. The coating was required to be tough and durable, easy to apply and to compliment the appearance of this uniquely designed product.

The Solution : 2-Pack Acrylic High Build Sheen Finish in Light Grey

The 2-Pack Acrylic High Build Sheen Finish in Light Grey provided the solution that the client was looking for. This product is designed as a one-coat finish for new, suitably prepared, galvanised steel, as in this situation.

This 2-pack product is easy to apply and offers a tough, durable and colour-stable sheen finish.

The Benefits

Single Coat:: When applied directly to galvanised steel, only a single coat is needed, thereby saving time and money
Durable: The finish is based on 2-pack acrylic resin technology, offering a tough, long lasting finish.
Colour Stability: 2-pack acrylic Dacrylate 83‐Line will provide excellent long term colour stability.
Isocyanate Free: For application the Dacrylate 83‐Line is completely isocyanate free.
Low VOC: With a typical VOC level of 324 grams per litre, meeting VOC emission targets makes this a product of choice when it comes reducing solvent emissions.

The Application

All the columns were firstly de‐greased with Dacrylate R5 and then lightly abraded.
Coat 1: Two Pack Acrylic High Build Sheen Finish in Light Grey was applied electrostatically by spray to a wet film build of 190 microns to achieve 120 microns dry.
